Comments about Catskill Craftsmen Wheeled Utility Cart w White Finish, Towel Rack & Drop Leaf:
I was pleasantly surprised at the overall quality of the materials and the sturdiness of the construction. This cart uses real wood, not particle board. And the butcher block top has an extra coating to make it resistant to liquids. The drop leaf is well-made and offers a HUGE working surface when needed.
This cart is sturdy enough and large to hold all our holiday feast and wheel it into the dining room so our guests would have more table room. Then the drop leaf folds down to store it easily in the kitchen.
Even with the drop leaf down, there is plenty of room available for meal preparation. I laid out all the ingredients, plates and utensils for breakfast the next morning and had everything I needed at my fingertips next to the stove.
The drawer is good for holding all our kitchen towels. The storage space beneath is so spacious we haven't figured out yet what to put there. The knife block assembly didn't seem to make much sense... until we put the top in place. Then it was an "Ah, ha" moment when we discovered how useful it actually was.
The assembly instructions are drawing only. To assemble correctly, you need to study ALL drawings VERY carefully, as some parts of step 2 need very detailed info from steps 3 and 10 to assemble correctly. And assembly is definitely a 2-person job. (Some parts are very heavy.) That said, assembly errors are few and easy to correct. It took my wife and I around 2.5 hours to complete, and the results were well worth the effort.
